FunFest is Coming!

The annual MSAE Funfest will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018.  For those of you who are not familiar with Funfest, it is a one-day, fun-filled event that enables Regular and Associate members to mingle in a social atmosphere. Once again this year, we'll offer non-golfers the opportunity to enjoy a day on the links playing Chucker Golf along side a traditional golf outing. Members are also invited to participate in our Annual Meeting of the Membership where our new board and officers will be elected and installed.

MSAE Needs Your Opinion

MSAE is engaged in a strategic planning process that will continue prior to FunFest and the Annual Meeting this month. In preparation for this next session, MSAE is seeking your input. Your opinions are important and your responses will be treated confidentially. We're asking our membership to complete a survey that will help to guide our planning. A consolidated summary of all replies will be made available to the Board and Strategic Planning Attendees. Please consider completing the survey.

MSAE is once again preparing to publish our lobbyist directory for distribution to members of the Missouri Legislature in both printed and electronic formats.

Lobbyists interested in being included must sign up before Friday, October 26.

Strategic Hotel Contracts: Plan & Think Before You Ink

Hotel contracts are complicated, but are a must to define responsibilities and make mutual obligations perfectly clear. In the Strategic Meetings Management (SMM) landscape, hotel contract risk mitigation has become an important metric. In this interactive workshop, Terri Woodin, CMP will  lead attendees through discussion of a multitude of topics on methods to negotiate contracts that assure added meeting value, cost savings and risk mitigation, including dispute resolution.
